Sunset Mclaren 570S

Near the end of May, I had the opportunity to do a last-minute photoshoot with a McLaren 570S. Due to the last minute of the shoot, I didn’t have a huge amount of time to plan my shots and get an idea of what I was going to do prior to getting to the location, this is evident due to the location being packed when we arrived due to a SpaceX launch, which would have been visible from the location. Because of this some of the shots have reflections of other cars present which I disliked but the client was still very happy with what came out in the end.

Because of the color and shape of the car I suggested that we use a sunset to show the color. The light curved and bounced off the car amazingly. Because of all the people, I wasn’t able to get a huge amount of shots at the peak of the sunset but after the launch was canceled and the sun had peaked people began to leave which gave me more freedom as time when on, as time went on I thought it would be interesting to do a little bit of portrait photography and try some more experimental shots, a lot of these shots were fun to get I didn’t end up using many of them

To create this shot I used the left shot as a base and used some of the texture from the right to merge into the final shot. I’m quite happy with the end result but I do feel the number plate still looks odd in the final shot and I’m unable to escape this feeling no matter how much editing I did to it.
